….now where did I put that earthquake?
Apparently I wasn’t the only one to be puzzled by the disappearance of this data. When I clicked on the top google link for a search for Yellowstone earthquake 2/11/11 , it took me to a discussion of this in the conspiracy forum: godlikeproductions.com forums. An indication to me that a lot of people thought there might be something more than an earthquake going on with this Yellowstone info.
I was able to locate a couple of other videos of the info that was there yesterday, and wasn’t today. These are below.
Now why, during a time of unprecedented unrest in the political fabric of US diplomatic policy in the middle east, would the US government want to hide an earthquake, if that is indeed what happened? It leads to some interesting speculation. I have asked for more information from the USGS site itself. I’ll post the answer I receive when it arrives in my e-mail within two business days, according to their site info.

These frequent earthquakes at Yellowstone a are NOT listed at USGS but are listed on this Intellicast map at this link * for 2/12/11. In the Yellowstone area the 4.6 earthquake is still listed there as of 11:00PM 2-12 ( EST) my time. The swarm of earthquakes at Yellowstone at this site is listed below

Looking for data about the above discussed event brought me to look into another recent 4.3 earthquake at Mount St Helens, to see how that data was handled in comparison. The iris.edu link, although showing a big red circle for it, has no information when the circle is clicked as of 5:30 AM (EST) today. The IRIS website states they get their data from the USGS info sources. USGS has the earthquake listed as a 4.3, a significant event reviewed by a seismologist. Evidence that the two databases are not exactly synched. The intellicast site has the 4.3 listed there.
There is a weirdness showing up on the live seismograph server links this morning also. All over the world, from Antartica to Mexico, Puerto Rico to South America, South Africa, Germany, umm…. you get the picture, seismographs stopped recording within an hour of each other and started up again all with a weird, long wave form. I have not studied seismograph data before, but weirdness like this isn’t random. Something global happened, whether just an interuption in the data recording stream or reflecting hard data, I have no idea. I just thought I’d mention it here. The time frame for this data interuptus is around 16:51 to 17:50. Yesterday the shaking on these graphs was off the chart around the world also for a time. Whether that is odd, I don’t know, because I hadn’t ever connected to that site before yesterday, which is why I took a look today.
XClass Solar Flare today. Interesting that this happened today also. From spaceweather.com:
FIRST X-FLARE OF THE NEW SOLAR CYCLE: Sunspot 1158 has unleashed the strongest solar flare in more than four years. The eruption, which peaked at 0156 UT on Feb. 15th, registered X2 on the Richter scale of solar flares. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded an intense flash of extreme ultraviolet radiation, circled below:

From the March report on earthquake activity for February at Yellowstone from the usgs site, it seems that the “event” was noise:
The Yellowstone Seismic Network, operated by the University of Utah, continues to function well throughout this winter’s harsh operational conditions. Early in the month some irregular telemetry interruptions caused the automatic earthquake location system to issue false reports which then required manual deletion from the earthquake listings. University seismologists addressed the problem by changing the automatic recording software and continue to review data as they do normally. Their professional action has minimized the noise effects. Of course, this can be read a couple of ways. No where are the causes of these telemetry interruptions noted, only the fact that they were irregular. What change was made to the automatic recording software? Just because the seismologists normally review data, doesn’t neccesarily mean the data they are now reviewing is normal. And where are the “noise” effects coming from? Just my questions that the “answers” given raise about whazzup there in February.
